Autumn Events on Rathlin Island
Friday, 18 September, 2015 - 13:30 - 15:30
Rathlin Island is a lovely, unspoiled part of the province: situated just off the north coast. For many years it has been a happy haven for birdwatchers.
It is accessible, of course, with fairly regular ferries toing and froing from Ballycastle.
If you have some free time this Autumn, you might like to get involved in a couple of events on Rathlin. The Marine Conservation Society welcomes all volunteers to help with its beach clean in a fortnight's time. It's planned for Friday 18th September 1-30 pm to 3-30 pm. YTou might like to combine this exercise with a trip to see the wildlife courtesy of the RSPB Seabird Centre. Puffins, kittiwakes and guillemots abound on the island.
If you fancy a trip later in the year, Rathlin Development and Community Association is holding a Hallowe'en Festival. This is planned to last all Saturday and, for furher details about this and the beach clean, please contact Rathlin Development and Community Association ( RDCA) on www.rathlincommunity.org/events
