The Ulster American Folk Park is hosting the Bluegrass Festival this coming weekend.
There'll be lots of finger clicking, toe tapping music to enjoy from local acts as well as American and Canadian bands. Mini music marathons are planned throughout the weekend.
Bands like Viper Central, Whiskey Deaf and local act Prison Love are part of the roster of fine acts due to play between Friday and Sunday.
It sounds like a great weekend. The Folk Park is well worth a visit as it reflects the journey local people made to the New World to start a new life and the challenges they faced.
Bluegrass music is a blend of Folk and Country with a nod to early Rock and Roll and reflects the journey made by people across the Atlantic to seek a new life, which is why the venue is so appropriate.
