Clive Lyttle, experienced basket maker and countryside skills practitioner, will give a talk and demonstration on Basketmaking.  

Clive runs Welig Heritage Crafts along with Elaine Burke from their smallholding near Portaferry.  They make baskets, garden ware, hurdles, rustic furniture and willow sculpture.  They also carry out hedge laying, dry stone walling, hedge/tree planting, and woodland management.

Why did the farmer fear the hare? What did the Little People do to bramble fruit at Harvest time? Learn facts from fiction as you hear about our local Harvest customs and make two Harvest Knots to take away with you.

Madeline McGreevy is the director of Kathleen's Attic, a Lisburn–based group which offer workshops in all kinds of traditional crafts.

Madeline has worked with local councils, partnerships and other organisations to provide authentic traditional local crafts and activities from the 1900's. She is a trained educator with many years’ experience.

​An opportunity for the over 50s, who have little or no experience of using IT, to enjoy an introduction on how to use computers.  

Facilitators from Business in the Community, will be on hand in each participating library to help people gain some practical experience with computers.  They will be able to help you to enter the world of the internet and learn how to create an email and much more.
